Xiaomi is a relatively new name in the smartphone market, and they have already created quite a name for themselves. Ever since their entry into the mobile phones market a few years back, they have pleased critics and aficionados alike with their user friendly phones, smart designs, and low prices. A lot of buzz is created every time Xiaomi announces the launch of a new phone. It appears as though the phone manufacturer has no intentions of passing up the opportunity to cash in on the enthusiasm regarding its products any time soon; in the upcoming one year, it has a series of new launches coming up. Here, we have tried to sum up the phones that are due to be released in the upcoming months.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5
The Redmi phones from the stable of Xiaomi have always met with great enthusiasm and popularity. The phones are packed with features and are extremely budget friendly, and naturally, a lot of buzz has been created around the next generation Redmi phone, the Redmi Note 5. The phone is expected to be priced a little less than thirteen thousand rupees. It is certainly going to be powered by the latest version of the Android operating system, the Nougat. It will most likely feature the 5.5 inch display, an 18 mp front camera and a 16 mp rear camera, and a 1.8 GHz Octa Core processor. It is being expected that the phone will be very fast, and selfies will certainly be great with the 18 mp front camera. The Redmi Note 5 will reach the shelves in September 2017. The only downside to the phone is that it oes not have aquick charging piint.
Xiaomi Mi 5S
This phone will not be powered by the Android Nougat operating system, but by the previous version of the Android, the Marshmellow. It has a 3 GB RAM and a 1.5 GHz Octa Core processor, which will make for a moderately fast phone with very little chances of a hanging memory. It boasts a 64 GB and a 3200 mAh battery. This one will probably have a bigger screen than the one previously discussed. There is a slot for bath the sim cards, be it the standard size or the micro sim. The Mi 5S has a 112 mp rear camera and a 4 mo front camera, so selfies will probably not be that great. It is expected to release in February 2018, and will set you back by almost 20,000 rupees.
Xiaomi Mi Mix EVO
This phone is xpected to launch sometime in February 2018, and will cost something around 30,000. The phone is powered by the Android Nougat, and has a 2.45 GHz Octa Core processor. There is 4 GB RAM, and a memory storage of 128 GB. The 6.4 inch display is going to make watching videos a pleasure that none of the other phones provide, and the latest technology processor makes the phone smooth, with extreme user friendliness. The 16 mp rear camera will let you take beautiful photos, but the 4 mp front camera is not very conducive to taking great selfies. It also has quick charging, which creates the possibility of the phone being an even bigger hit.
Xiaomi Redmi Pro
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro is slated to release sometime around October 2017, and will set you back by about 18,000 rupees. It is likely to be one of the comparatively low key, budget smartphones from the house of Xiaomi, with only a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage space. It is not yet clear whether this storage space will be extendable or not. The screen size will be standard at 5.5 inches, and the 4050 mAh Battery will likely last a whole day without requiring a top up charge. The 13 mp rear camera will take moderately clear photos, but the quality of selfies with the 5 mp front camera will not be very high. This phone doesn’t have a quick charging or either, which is a pretty major drawback.
Xiaomi is a pretty new name in the market, but that has no stopped it from giving the established houses like Samsung and Nokia a run for their money. Thanks to the fact that Xiaomi phones are much cheaper than its more expensive peers, such as the hones from Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, and even Apple, these phones are wildly popular among the younger age group. Xiaomi is the first company that really put China’s name on the technological map and removed its stigmatic association as the hub of counterfeit electronics. Whether the company is able to retain its reputation with the launched of the new phones is something that only time will be able to answer.
